Sharing Your Cup

I run a few small businesses on-line selling crafts and craft supplies.  I knew this was something I really wanted to do, but I never imagined God would use my businesses to help and bless other women.

Recently, through my sales, I have met a few women who are going through a real tough time in their lives.  These ladies bought something from me and that initiated our contact, but through our communication a door opened up and we began sharing about our lives.

At first I thought I could not help them.  I thought "I could listen, but I am a stranger, far away...what can I do?"  But as I learned about their situation, I asked how I could pray for them and always waited to hear back.  A friendship began and I prayed for these women, I realized that God has planned for these friendships to happen.   As far as God is concerned, I am here to SHARE THEIR CUP.

I find it amazing that God uses ANY venue to connect people.  We are all here for each other as sisters and borthers in Christ.

I ask you to SHARE YOUR CUP now.  Write a prayer request in the comment section or respond to a prayer request and your name will go into a draw for these cards I made:

I will randomly draw a name on Friday, May 28th, 2010.

I sent a little "surprise" package to one of my friends I've been praying for and she told me it brighten up her day!  I thought it would be nice if I could randomly pick a name from the comments and brighten that person's day :)

Thank you for sharing a prayer request.  I hope this blog is the beginning of many new friendships.  As written in Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

I could use prayers for myself and my 3 year old son. I'm kind of worried about his development in some areas, and I have talked to his dr. and while his dr. doesn't seem too concerned, it's not helping me feel better right now. We have another follow-up visit coming in August, but that's a while to wait, and I guess I just need peace that everything will be okay.
Thanks.

I don't have a prayer request, but I wanted to let you know what a nice idea I thought this was.

And I love the owls :)

What a great idea!

I will say a prayer and send positive thoughts for everyone who has a heavy heart about something in their life.

For myself, I have been unemployed since Jan 2009. The financial stress has been difficult and I know God hears my prayers but he is very busy helping those in Haiti and others will bigger crosses to bear right now. Just hoping that he gets to me soon.
